BUCKIE (below) will also be living with us forever ...
UPDATE 28/12/12 Buckie is coming on well and his back feet are hardening up again. His front feet were in worse condition and will take a little longer to harden. He is enjoying all the special attention he is getting and he is loving the bed rest.
UPDATE; Buckie still has a lot of recovery ahead of him and we have not yet found his owners. Do you recognise him at all?
We were able to get a better look at Buckie and it appears he is at least 6 years old and has had a very hard life indeed. We received a phone call from Sharon Pollock who discovered a young goat who had fallen into a ditch along the Gweedore Road as she was waiting for us to come out. A Ms. Josephine McGee pulled over to help her with the goat. As I myself am unable to drive Madeline from Jessie Dog Rescue took me to get the goat. So a big thank you, ladies, for all you did for this goat. As he is not in the best condition he has quite the long road ahead of him. but rest assured he is all snug and dry tonight with a warm dry bed and a full tummy. If anyone is missing or knows someone who is missing a goat can they please phone us 0860762228 / 0864038888

Keira
* Meet the sweet Keira.
* Keira has had a harsh life up until this point.
*She has been shut outside for the majority of he life and has not been used to life in a house.
* She was abandoned somewhere in the hills and had obviously been harshly treated. We know this because she remains very unsure of what people will do to her.
* She is now being allowed to interact at her own pace. Ordinary everyday household things still worry her (TV, washing machine, hoovers, etc), and so dear Keira is looking for a quiet relaxed household. A large calm dog would maybe help her settle, but anywhere that is prepared to give her the time and gentleness that she needs to heal and recover.
* Keira will be a long term project for someone kind enough to help her.
* There is no rush to home Keira, the right home will be more important than anything.
* Keira cannot be homed with cats, and young children would probably worry her.
* Keira is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
UPDATE The once timid Kiera is coming on leaps and bounds! She is doing so well living in a house and she is such a sweet, sweet girl. Kiera is a very calm girl and likes to sleep a lot!
